Coburg University of Applied Sciences in Germany is a public university financed by the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts. It is characterized by practice-related teaching and research as well as a strong practical bias. Its educational philosophy is designed to enable its students to apply their theoretical knowledge and methodological know-how to solving concrete problems in their professional careers.

Applied Research

Coburg University of Applied Sciences attaches great importance to application-oriented research. The aim is to use the results of basic research to solve practical problems and thus promote technical, economic, social and societal innovations. At the same time, Coburg University of Applied Sciences is very transfer-oriented, i.e. focused on the transfer of knowledge and technologies. In 2018, it developed a transfer concept that was discussed within the university and with external partners and approved by the university senate in 2018.
