Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) educates around 6,000 students in the fields of engineering, computer science and economics. Approximately 650 employees, 150 of them professors, work at THI. Around 200 research assistants and over 100 doctoral candidates conduct research here, primarily in the fields of mobility and artificial intelligence.
THI cooperates with 185 research and industry partners worldwide. Its research and test center CARISSMA THI is the leading German scientific center for vehicle safety. As the Bavarian AI hub for mobility, THI develops AI applications in the field of mobility, especially in the areas of autonomous driving, autonomous flying and automobile production.
Mobility solutions around drive technologies and power electronics are created at the Institute for Innovative Mobility. The Institute for New Energy Systems researches sustainable solutions for energy generation. Furthermore, THI conducts research in the competence fields of robotics, logistics and marketing, aviation, production now, entrepreneurship as well as material and surface technology.
