Doctoral Research
Doctoral students at DIT are supported by the DIT Graduate School and benefit from the integration into cross-university science platforms as well as through networking. Together with the Technische Hochschule Augsburg and the University of Applied Sciences Landshut we have been officially awarded the independent right to grant doctoral degrees within the framework of two Promotionszentren. The DIT also offers the Academic Certificate "Research and Dissertation Competence", in which necessary competences and methods for scientific work and dissertation can be acquired. Additionally, DIT publishes a double blind peer review Open Access Journal with two series: the Bavarian Journal of Applied Sciences and the Journal of Applied Interdisciplinary Research.
Postdoctoral Research
Research is conducted in our 17 research and technology campuses as well as at the faculties that focus on 4 areas of R&D: Digital Technologies, Sustainable Production & Energy Technologies, Smart Materials, Quality of Life & Healthcare. The campuses are bridges between academic teaching and research and the economy and society.
