University of Technology Nuremberg (UTN)
Interdisciplinary, international and digital: this is the core concept of the University of Technology Nuremberg. The University of Technology Nuremberg does not only interlink engineering sciences with other topics of society, but also focusses on study programs in English, digital teaching and learning spaces and future-oriented research topics.
Doctoral Research
At UTN, your journey as a doctoral researcher (equivalent to a Ph.D. student) is organized along mile-stones. Each doctoral researcher conducts his or her own research (as funded by grants or by working in another capacity) and is guided by a dissertation committee of experts. In addition to your research, you will have opportunities for continuing education, enhancing your qualifications, or participating in courses and attending international conferences.
Professorships
The University of Technology Nuremberg has three career levels for professorships: UTN Assistant Professor, UTN Professor and UTN Distinguished Professor. Internal careers to become UTN Professor are possible based on Tenure Track. Promotion to become UTN Distinguished Professor can be applied for and is possible based on an evaluation.
