Kempten University of Applied Sciences is located in the southwest of Bavaria in the heart of the Allgäu region. It was founded as a state-owned university of applied sciences in 1977. Over 50 practice-oriented bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes covers Business & Tourism, Social & Health Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Computer Science and Multimedia, all of which are characterized by high quality teaching and research.

Research Priority Areas

Forschungszentrum Allgäu (FZA) – Allgäu Research Centre at Kempten University of Applied Sciences coordinates numerous research and development projects conducted as part of publicly funded research programmes or serving industry and the private sector. The remits of the various projects tackle the most cutting-edge challenges in society in the key research fields of energy, mobility, manufacturing and social innovation. The crucial interface skills in the fields of information and communication technology (ICT) and artificial intelligence (AI) reciprocally strengthen the specialist expertise in the various faculties of the university.
