University of Bayreuth
The University of Bayreuth was founded in 1975 and is today one of the most successful young universities in Germany with a dense network of international partnerships and research collaborations. Interdisciplinary research and teaching is the main feature of the 190 study programmes at seven faculties: natural and engineering sciences, law, business and economics, languages and literature, social and life sciences.
Doctoral Research
If you are interested in pursuing a doctoral degree at the University of Bayreuth, you can complete your doctorate at one of the Graduate Centers offering structured graduate programmes, or you would rather carry out research under the supervision of a professor at one of the University’s seven faculties. Either way the University of Bayreuth Graduate School will support you in a variety of different areas. The Bayreuth International Graduate School of African Studies is part of the Africa Multiple Cluster of Excellence at the University of Bayreuth.
